What does it mean to be a GATHER host?

Hosts are individuals, couples, or small groups that fully coordinate a dinner of their own design and invite their friends to gather with them around a table to celebrate and support Jones Valley Teaching Farm's Good School Food program.

How it works

Gather dinners can be anything you want: elaborate sit-down meals to casual backyard bbqs. Break out the fine china, family-style pasta platter, or order some pizza and watch your favorite movie or ballgame.  Put together a menu, a guest list, and you are halfway there! It is completely up to you! Whatever approach you take, know your guests are creating community by gathering around food — all the while learning more about the vision and mission of JVTF.

Next Steps:

Click the button below or email gather@jvtf.org to get started!  We are happy to answer any questions you may have.  Once you reserve a Host Dinner slot, we will create a Host page specific to you that allows you to collect reservations and donations. This leaves you free the night of your dinner to focus on hosting, and having fun, knowing that your Gather dinner is supporting JVTF’s hands-on, food-based education program in partnership with Birmingham City Schools.

Each share, tweet, and email helps us spread the word about Jones Valley Teaching Farm.
